Subject:The Top Ten New Year's Resolutions for Mainers!
Time:08:55 pm
Hi all! How is everyone doing today?

In celebration of the great state of Maine and the new year of 2009, I wrote this essay called "Top Ten New Year's Resolutions for Mainers." I would appreciate if anyone would take a look at it and let me know what you think. I love to write, and I love to get responses on what I write. I'm not sure where else to post this, because I think only people from Maine would know what I am talking about. :)  So if you could read my (short) essay and let me know  what you think, if you like it or not, that would be great! Thanks! It's meant to be a humor piece.

The essay is located at
and please let me know what you think!

Subject:Maine poly Clay Guild meeting
Time:11:12 am
I'm very excited to pass along Linda's announcement for the Guild meeting!!! This is so exciting to begin building an active group of polymer clay artists in the state! We can do so many exciting things with this group!

PLEASE try to attend! I'd be happy to carpool with anyone and try to facilitate any other car pool groups. Please contact me privately about that. (ConniePelkey@gmail.com - or call me!)

Quarterly Guild meeting:

The next meeting of the guild will be on Saturday, October 20th from 10:00am to 2:00pm in Lincolnville. Please RSVP to Linda ( linda@ljmdesigns.com) who will also provide directions.

Please come prepared to talk about a Maine clay conference for fall of 2008. We would also like to do a quilt block swap. Your ideas are necessary to make the guild work for all of Maine's clay artist.

Subject:Slates in Hallowell is burning!
Time:03:22 pm
Slates in Hallowell is burning!

I just watched the roof cave in as I was trying to get back out of town after stopping at the fish market for Maine shrimp.

I was diverted onto Second Street as I was coming into town from Augusta, I saw thick black smoke downtown and as I got closer, thought it was The Slates Bakery building - as I came back out after getting my shrimp, I saw that it was indeed the restaurant.

What a shame....

Subject:Midnight Mass
Time:04:43 pm
Hello All,
I have been in Maine for about 6-8 months, and I am trying to find a nice church that has a beautiful christmas midnight mass. I usually go to my home church but I wont be close at the catholic church. If anyone can tell me a church in portland area, out towards raymond, poland area, that has a pretty midnight mass, at midnight, with candles and signing and that type of stuff I would be soooo happy.

Thanks for letting me know.

Hope everyone has a very happy holiday season.
